History of Fibre Nova
Fibre Nova is a relatively young UK broadband company. It was incorporated in late 2023, changed leadership and control during 2024, took control of RunFibre in 2025 and moved into a wider infrastructure group in 2026.
Fibre Nova Ltd was incorporated on 7 November 2023. Its early Companies House record is modest, but the business changed quickly: new leadership arrived in 2024, Iron Beach Ventures became the controlling company, Fibre Nova took control of RunFibre in May 2025, and by 2026 the brand was active in community full-fibre projects and was reported to have moved into Bentry Infrastructure Group.
Fibre Nova begins as a new Liverpool company
Fibre Nova Ltd was incorporated in England on 7 November 2023 with company number 15265702. The incorporation filing recorded initial share capital of just £1.
John Edward Farrell was the company’s first director and was also recorded as its person with significant control from incorporation. Fibre Nova’s original registered office was in Seaforth, Liverpool.
Fibre Nova Ltd enters the Companies House register as a private limited company.
Recorded as the original director and controlling person at incorporation.
There is little evidence of a substantial trading operation during this first period. Fibre Nova’s first filed accounts, covering the period to 30 November 2024, were later filed as dormant company accounts.
A new address, new director and new controlling company
Fibre Nova’s corporate structure began changing during 2024. In March, its registered office moved to 101 Old Hall Street in Liverpool, the address that remains associated with the business.
The appointment brought in a telecoms figure who would later also become closely connected with RunFibre.
John Edward Farrell ceased to be a person with significant control and Iron Beach Ventures Ltd became Fibre Nova’s controlling company. Farrell also left the board, and the company’s share capital increased to £100.
The accounts for the period ending 30 November 2024 were filed as dormant. That means the legal company existed before the fuller broadband operation seen later; the 2023 incorporation date should not be treated as evidence that Fibre Nova had already reached its later commercial scale.
The RunFibre acquisition changes Fibre Nova’s profile
The most important step in Fibre Nova’s early history came in May 2025. Companies House records Fibre Nova becoming RunFibre Ltd’s person with significant control on 28 May 2025, replacing Fibreray Group.
RunFibre was already an established small alternative network operator with a rural FTTP footprint in South Gloucestershire. It had said in 2024 that its network had passed more than 1,500 premises. Bringing RunFibre under Fibre Nova therefore gave the newer company an immediate link to an existing network, engineers and community-build experience.
Fibre Nova takes control of RunFibre. Companies House records ownership of 75% or more of RunFibre’s shares and voting rights, plus the right to appoint or remove directors.
This was the point at which Fibre Nova became much more visible as part of the UK altnet market rather than simply as a recently incorporated company. Industry coverage described Fibre Nova as a relatively new network provider acquiring RunFibre from Fibreray Group.
The RunFibre page covers its earlier rural builds and ownership changes in full; this page keeps the focus on what the acquisition meant in Fibre Nova’s own development.
From a new company to an active full-fibre provider
By 2025 and 2026, Fibre Nova was presenting itself as a full-fibre broadband provider for homes and businesses rather than just a corporate holding company. Its website describes a model that combines retail broadband with community network projects and government-backed Gigabit Voucher funding.
Fibre Nova sells full-fibre broadband packages directly to end customers.
The company says it identifies communities where full fibre is needed and works with specialist network builders and local engineers.
Eligible projects use BDUK-backed voucher funding to reduce or remove installation costs.
Fibre Nova’s current website also displays network and technology partners including CityFibre, Freedom Fibre, Netomnia and ITS. That points to a broader model than owning every network it sells over.
New community builds and the Bentry chapter
During 2026, Fibre Nova continued to be associated with smaller community full-fibre projects. Industry reporting highlighted activity around West Kirby in Merseyside, Pennington Wharf and Lowton in Wigan, while RunFibre engineers were also seen building in Romsley, Worcestershire.
The leadership structure changed again when Jaswinder Singh Gill was appointed as a Fibre Nova director on 29 June 2026. Gill is also a director of Bentry Infrastructure Group.
In September 2026, ISPreview reported that an acquisition had taken place during August in which Fibre Nova and RunFibre were acquired by Bentry Infrastructure Group, a telecommunications infrastructure company incorporated only a few months earlier.
That development places Fibre Nova within a wider group spanning broadband, network ownership and infrastructure delivery. It also marks a major change from the company’s relatively simple corporate beginnings in November 2023.

Fibre Nova grew quickly after a quiet first year
Fibre Nova was incorporated in November 2023 and its first accounts were dormant. The company changed leadership and control during 2024, then took control of RunFibre in May 2025. By 2025–26 it was operating as a fuller retail and community FTTP provider, before being reported as part of the new Bentry Infrastructure Group in 2026.
