Inseego Completes Acquisition of Nokia Fixed Wireless Access Business
The deal expands Inseego’s FWA portfolio and global carrier reach.
Inseego has completed its acquisition of Nokia’s Fixed Wireless Access business, a transaction first announced on April 30. The acquisition adds indoor, outdoor and millimeter-wave FWA products, expands Inseego’s international reach and is expected by the company to approximately double its revenue.
The deal changes both Inseego’s scale and product range
Inseego describes the transaction as a major expansion of its wireless broadband business. The company expects the acquired operation to approximately double its revenue while adding a broader set of fixed-wireless products for residential, business and carrier deployments.

Customer-premises equipment designed for straightforward indoor deployment, expanding Inseego’s existing wireless broadband range.
Outdoor equipment can improve radio placement and signal conditions where indoor reception is weaker or installation needs are more demanding.
The acquired portfolio includes mmWave FWA products for high-capacity fixed-wireless deployments.
Nokia’s FastMile fixed-wireless access product family becomes part of Inseego’s broader cellular broadband portfolio.
Inseego is becoming a much more international FWA supplier
The transaction extends Inseego’s carrier footprint beyond its existing base and into markets across Europe, the Middle East, Asia, Oceania and the Americas.
Expanded carrier footprint
Inseego has established an international headquarters in the Netherlands.
A new development center supports the company’s expanded engineering operation.
Inseego has expanded its presence in India alongside new customer-facing resources.
Nokia becomes an Inseego shareholder
The structure of the transaction means Nokia is not simply walking away from the business. It now owns a material equity stake in Inseego and is providing additional cash to support engineering work.
Inseego’s SEC filing says it issued 1,163,693 shares and warrants for 521,139 additional shares, while assuming certain liabilities of the FWA business.
Nokia invested $10 million in Inseego at closing and received 775,795 shares plus warrants for 290,569 additional shares.
The closing left Nokia with approximately 1.9 million Inseego shares and an approximately 11% ownership interest, excluding warrant exercise.
Nokia is also due to provide another $10 million by October 15, 2026 to support interoperability work between Inseego’s device OS and cloud platform and certain Nokia technology ecosystems.
Nokia’s approximate ownership after closing
The Nokia relationship continues after the sale
Nokia and Inseego say they have structured the transition to maintain customer continuity. Nokia will provide transition support and can refer new FWA opportunities to Inseego, including projects where FWA forms part of a broader Nokia network deployment.
The companies also plan to explore technology collaboration beyond the acquired product line.
The bottom line
Inseego has completed a deal that substantially changes the scale and reach of its fixed-wireless business.
The company now adds Nokia’s indoor, outdoor and mmWave FWA portfolio, gains a larger international carrier footprint and says the transaction is expected to approximately double revenue. Nokia, meanwhile, retains an approximately 11% ownership interest in Inseego and will continue supporting the business through transition, referrals and technology collaboration.
