Sky VIP Reviewed
Real rewards from the My Sky app
Verdict
A Sky perk worth checking
Sky VIP is easy to miss, but it has delivered real value in my testing, including concert tickets, cinema tickets and a football training camp. June’s three music-ticket wins alone were worth £528.
Bottom line: Sky VIP does not make Sky automatically cheap, and prize wins are never guaranteed. But if you already have Sky, or the price is close to a rival, it is one of the best extras Sky offers.
What is Sky VIP?
Sky’s loyalty scheme inside the My Sky app
Sky VIP is Sky’s customer loyalty programme. You access it through the My Sky app, where Sky lists rewards, prize draws, tickets, experiences, offers and customer-only extras.
The appeal is that it is not just a list of weak discount codes. Depending on what is live in the app and what you are eligible for, Sky VIP can include cinema tickets, event tickets, days out, sports-related prizes, food offers, customer-only discounts and prize draws.
It is worth checking the app regularly rather than waiting for emails. Some rewards are time-sensitive, and the better ones can be easy to miss if you only look once in a while.

My experience with Sky VIP
It has been the Sky extra that surprised me most
My parents have used Sky Broadband for several years, and I usually help them with the app side of things. The broadband has been steady, but Sky VIP is the part that has made the package feel more worthwhile.
I have seen day trips, food offers, discounts, cinema tickets, sports-related rewards and event tickets appear in the app. Not every reward is exciting, and some are prize draws rather than guaranteed freebies, but there have been enough genuinely useful ones to keep checking.
That is why I rate it highly. It has not just been “customer loyalty” in name only. In my own experience, Sky VIP has turned into real tickets, real days out and rewards I could either use myself or pass on to friends and family.
Important: This is my personal experience, not a guarantee that every Sky customer will win the same prizes. Sky VIP rewards change over time, and some offers depend on eligibility, availability, location, customer tier and individual prize terms.
Real Sky VIP wins and value
An earlier prize I nearly missed
Before the June run, I had already seen Sky VIP deliver useful rewards. One older email I found while updating my Sky content was for four cinema screening tickets in Manchester. It was a good reminder that Sky VIP can produce proper days out, not just small account offers.
A very good month for Sky VIP
June was the month that really changed how I looked at Sky VIP. Across that month, I won five separate prizes through the app.
I personally went to Lewis Capaldi at Powderham using one of those wins. The tickets were worth £88 each, so that was £176 of value from one prize alone. I also won two tickets to Biffy Clyro on 3rd July worth £88 each, and two tickets to Wolf Alice on 5th July worth £88 each.
The other wins were a football training camp at Huddersfield FC for my friend’s daughter and two cinema tickets for a screening. For prizes I knew I could not use myself, I entered friends and family instead, so the rewards still went to people who could enjoy them.
That £528 figure only counts the known music ticket value from June. It does not include June’s football training camp or cinema tickets, so the real benefit for that month was higher than the number shown here.

Pros and cons
What Sky VIP gets right
-
Real prize value The rewards can be genuinely valuable, especially event tickets and experiences.
-
Good variety You can see a mix of cinema, music, sport, family days out, discounts and customer-only deals.
-
Easy to check Everything sits inside the My Sky app, so you do not need to hunt across separate websites.
-
Makes Sky feel less expensive It does not erase Sky’s premium pricing, but it can soften the difference if you use the rewards.
What to watch out for
-
Prizes are not guaranteed Big wins depend on competitions, availability and luck.
-
Rewards vary What appears can depend on account, subscription, location, tier and timing.
-
You need to remember it If you never open the app, you will miss a lot of the value.
-
Terms matter Some rewards have dates, travel limits, claim windows or entry conditions.
Who Sky VIP suits best
Family days out, cinema offers, sports experiences and kids’ activities are the sort of rewards that can feel genuinely useful.
This is where Sky VIP can really shine, because ticket wins and event access can be worth far more than a small monthly discount.
If you already pay for Sky Broadband, TV or mobile, it makes sense to check Sky VIP regularly and squeeze more value from the account.
Who it is not for: Sky VIP is not a reliable way to reduce your bill every month. If you only care about the cheapest broadband price, compare deals first and treat Sky VIP as a bonus rather than the main reason to sign up.
How to get the most from Sky VIP
Check it like a habit, not once a year
The best way to use Sky VIP is to check the app regularly. New rewards, prize draws and tickets can appear at different times, and some have limited availability or tight entry windows.
-
Open the My Sky app Go to the Sky VIP section and scroll through the current rewards.
-
Enter local prizes quickly Tickets and events can be time-sensitive, especially gigs, screenings and sports experiences.
-
Use family and friends sensibly If you cannot attend something yourself and the terms allow it, entering for someone close to you can stop rewards going unused.
-
Read the terms Check dates, venue, travel, transfer rules, claim windows and whether you need to bring ID.
Is Sky VIP worth it?
Yes, but only if you actually use it
Sky VIP is worth taking seriously, but I would not sign a long Sky contract purely because I hoped to win prizes. The better way to look at it is as an extra that can make an already suitable Sky package feel much better value.
My own experience is the reason I rate it highly. Winning £528 of known music-ticket value in June, plus cinema tickets and a football training camp in the same month, is a long way from a token discount or a vague “exclusive offer”. It is real value.
Still, the basics matter. Compare broadband prices, check your renewal price and renegotiate when your minimum term ends. Sky VIP is a strong perk, not a replacement for getting a fair monthly deal. For the wider broadband package, read my Sky Broadband review.

It can help. Sky VIP is one of Sky’s stronger extras, especially if you use the rewards regularly. But you should still compare broadband prices and renegotiate when your minimum term ends.
Final verdict
Sky VIP is one of the most convincing loyalty schemes I have seen from a mainstream UK broadband and TV provider. The rewards will not be identical for everyone, but when the app works in your favour, the value can be excellent.
For me, the mix of earlier prize wins and June’s five separate wins — including £528 of known music-ticket value in June alone — makes Sky VIP a genuine selling point rather than a throwaway extra.
