Google Fiber remains our number one rated ISP for the USA in our rankings because the underlying product is that strong. That does not mean it wins every buyer comparison automatically. That is also why the score remains disciplined. We rated Google Fiber 8.6/10 in our original August 2025 review, moved it to 8.7/10 in the April 2026 update, and kept it at 8.7/10 in this June 2, 2026 refresh. The product still looks excellent on performance, pricing clarity, plan structure, and hardware, but the limited footprint still prevents a higher national score.

Availability is still the deciding limitation: The strongest Google Fiber review in the world does not help if your address is outside the footprint.

Fiber quality does not make it universal: This is a top-end U.S. internet provider, but not a mass-market one. The product and the footprint are very different things.
